Kanto. A new place. Endless people roam the city streets, children play along the roads, pidgy chirp among the skies and most of all not one trance of sand. A huge jump for the Orre native to run away from the desert and hide from the enemy that must have killed his mother. He sighed, looking at the tall buildings. "Poochy!" Youthful Xena smiled in the arms of the human she chose to be with. She adored the baby position he cradled her in, wondering why Kiseop looked scared of the new enviornment. She felt the pack on his back move as the ultraballs moved. His other Pokémon heard the noise, disturbing their peaceful rest in their balls. "We should be safe from them here, as long as we avoid team rocket members." He began to walk, holding Xena close to his black leather jacket. "We can find a home, then prepare to fight sabrina for our first badge!" The boy who rarely smiles got a smirk from his giggling puppy. They contuined along the sidewalk for an apartment building. |

Saffron City. Large, and busy, with tall buildings painted from sandy yellow, to dark pink. It was completely different from the familiar quiet of his home town Lavender. Cerulean eyes flicked to and fro as the pale teen took his surroundings in with awe. He'd never actually been to Saffron before. Surprising as he lived only a short distance away. But then again, he'd never had the need of visiting. Well, except for now. In the present. After all, he needed to fight Sabrina in order to win her badge... But he wasn't exactly sure whether he was ready or not. "Squirtle." Cola exclaimed from his usual position upon his trainer's head. His crimson eyes were large with wonder. Everything was so new to him. He wiggled his tail, slapping it against Lucrent's shoulder in his excitement. The dark haired male sighed, and shoved his hands in his long coat pockets. "Cola, be good."The green shelled Squirtle leaned over in response, his pale blue head inches from Luke's own. "Squirtle, squirt." He said with a childish grin. His trainer couldn't help but crack a smile at the young Pokémon's antics but, he pushed him gently away with a quiet chuckle. Now was not the time for play. "Come on, let's go sightseeing." He said. Cola cheered, slipping back a little on his perch as he threw his paws up in the air. This was so much fun, it was like going on a treasure hunt! |

Xena gave a loud woof sign to Kiseop. She pointed to a building as they passed it by. Her paw directed her owner to the front of the city's gym. The building was different, with purple plants and vines along the sides of the walls and unattatched from the rest of the buildings on the street that are connected buisness buildings. Kiseop's soul jumped with delight, and he walked over to the sign. He bumped into a few people along the way. "Excuse me. Pardon. Sorry." He spoke everytime someone nudged him. The busy city people were quite annoying. Despite Kiseop's anti-social personality, he is at least respectful to the innocent and the kind hearted. Finally, they stood on the property of the gym. Xena cried again, "poochy...yenna yennn yen?" The inside of the gym is dark, just the way they like it. Kiseop tried to enter, but the automatic doors stayed shut. "Ahhhhh!" Xena whimpered, looking at her owner smack his head into the glass. She curled into his chest and he grasped her tighter. Finally, he realized there is a sign on the glass door. Kiseop read the note to his baby dog. "Dear trainers, I am sorry to be absent. I need a personal day, maybe a week." Their eyes expanded at the lettering. "I have been at the gym constantly and need some time to regain energy to give you a diffcult battle so you may earn your badges fairly. Thank you for understanding - Sabrina." They sighed... "pooch?" Kiseop turned around and saw a shadow from the corner of his eye heading to the gym. "Hey man, the gym is closed." Xena repeated Kiseop's words in her poochyena speech. |

As Luke rounded the corner, heading straight towards the extremely noticable entrance to the gym, a voice called out. "Hey man, the gym is closed." "Bummer," Lucrent sighed. Cola copied him, slipping down to flop upon his trainer's shoulder. "I was hoping to finally test out my Pokémon's abilities against her... but that gives me more time to train I suppose..." He was speaking mostly to himself, but he found he'd moved closer to the trainer whom stood by the closed doors. He noticed the young Poochyena in his grip, so he wasn't the only one carrying around a baby... "Squirtle!" Cola said loudly with much enthusiasm, obviously ecstatic to meet a Pokémon around the same age as himself. Lucrent folded his arms against his chest, and, slightly interested in this Pokémon trainer, he decided to make simple conversation, if only for a time. "So.. here for the same reasons as me then?" He asked. Cola crawled off of him and onto the ground. From there he tottered close to his trainer's feet and clenched at the trouser material with a pale blue paw, staring at the Poochyena with a goofy grin. Then turned his gaze to the gym. It looked empty and dark, no surprise there wasn't anyone there. |

Xena's ears flickered at the sound of a young water Pokémon. She turned her head and jumped out of Kiseop's arms. He jerked back at the interaction, but kept his patience. He snarrled, lookd away, but kept polite so Xena wouldn't be upset. He watched. Cola and Xena smiled and talked. "Naw, I just wanted to ask some advice before making a battle. Xena isn't old enough or ready to battle but she wants to anyways." His face remained blank, hidden emotion behind creme eyeliner and peach tone foundation. "I'm in town for other matters." "Pooch?" Xena asked for her similar sized friends name while using her paw, similar to how humans talk with their hands as they speak. "We're from Orre!" She added with her poochyena baby voice. Kiseop looked down at them, curiously wondering about the pokemons discussion. |

Lucrent turned to watch his Squirtle, his worry taking hold, if only for a moment. Then his gaze went back to the blank-faced trainer. "Advice? Hmm, I might ask the same, if and when she comes back..." He shifted position slightly, his cerulean eyes flickering to Cola every so often to make sure he wasn't up to mischief, like he so often was. "So, how long have you had Xena?" He asked, truly curious about the little pup. Cola plopped down onto the floor, with a loud thunk before responding. "Cola." He said in a childish manner, plucking at the ground with his stubby fingers. Then his dark red eyes looked into the Poochyena's own. "What's Orre?" He asked in all seriousness, his tail curling about his body. To his trainer and the stranger their words sounded nothing more than calls of their names, Cola's being of slight higher pitch than normal. |

"Ohhh" Xena smiled. "Oh you wouldn't like it there, its a desert like land." She pranced around at the sound of an ice cream truck. "What's that?" The moving forign object seemed to make Xena curious, but she got picked up by Kiseop's broad hands. "Naaaah you stay here little one!" The disgusted face on the puppy proved her disappointment. "I've had her for... 3 months? We met in a cave and she followed me around so I just took her in." His charcoal black hair and eyes still showed no emotion, despite the cute smile he gained from Xena's tiny barks. His leather coat made rubbing noises as he bent down to Cola. "What's his name? I've never met a this type of Pokémon before. Water types are rare to see in the deserts." |

Cola glanced behind him trying to pinpoint the source of the tinkly noise, but remained sat down, preferring the comforting feeling of safety close to his owner. He looked up at the Poochyena who seemed to be pouting in her trainer's grip, his large eyes blinking. "Desert? It sounds pretty." He said. Luke fixed his cerulean eyes upon the young Poochyena, a feeling of sympathy raising in his chest. "Poor pooch..." He murmured. He couldn't stand the thought of this little vulnerable Pokémon alone in a place like that. From the way he spoke of thier meeting it seemed Xena had been alone for a while. He cleared away these notions as the trainer bent down to look at his green shelled Squirtle, and a small smile made its way across his lips. "He's called Cola. It seemed to fit him at the time. Just came to mind like it sometimes does at weird times." Cola looked to Lucrent at the mention of his name, then back to the black haired male. "Squirtle." He said, wagging his tail, which scraped across the floor behind him. He reached out towards the man in curiosity. "Squirtle?" He questioned, tilting his head. |

"Cola..." Kiseop looked curiously at the Squirtle. Xena just smiled in her owners arms. "Never have I seen a Squirtle before. I have had unfortunate events with Blastoises though." He stood and looked around, with his eyes seeming to reach miles along the skies. "Poochy yenna yen ba phhhhhhyye!" Xena grew with random excitement of her owner standing. Being held almost six feet in the air was a thrill! Kiseop's dark glance looked into his puppy's eyes, soothing her energy with a sort of demise. If he were a Pokémon, he'd surely be a dark type. "So," he began. "You from around here? I'm looking for an apartment complex to move into." |

The 'unfortunate events with Blastoise' he mentioned piqued Luke's interest. But before he could bring it up, his Poochyena barked out in excitement. He smiled at her baby outlook on things. He glanced at Cola whom still remained seated by the trainer and Xena, his large tail now curled about him in much the same way as he'd often seen Skitty do. Cola yawned, revealing a row of healthy pink gums before crossing his arms across his armored chest. It was getting boring now. He wanted something to do... So, he got up and toddled back over to Lucrent, his arms outstretched towards him in the way a baby would do if it wanted to be picked up. Luke complied, bending down to scoop up the little fellow. Once nestled in his arms, he cradled the Squirtle, whom looked immensely happy at the attention it recieved. "I come from Lavender Town." He responded, to Kiseop's question. "So, not far from here. But this is my first time in this city." He added. Cola scratched his snout and nuzzled Luke's chest before dangling his head over the side of his resting place to stare at the dark-type and her trainer upside-down. "I'm afraid I won't be much help if you're looking to move into Saffron." Lucrent continued with a small shrug of his shoulders, almost losing his hold on the tiny turtle, whom laughed and swung his arms into thin air. |

"Hum..." He looked towards the sky. "Lavender Town..." His feet took two steps before completing his sentence. "The place with all the ghosts right? Sounds chilling. Abby would love it there." His looked down as his puppy began nagging and fussing about something. "Poochy pooch poochy yenna!!" "Do you want to go back in the ball?" She shivered about the wind. "Alright." He grabbed a strange looking green ball with red dots on it and returned Xena to her Friend Ball. Once the bright light returned her to the ball, Kiseop stretched and began walking. "Coming along?" He looked back at Cola and Luke. |

Cola watched in mute wonder as Xena was suddenly transported away from the world an into the strange colored capsule the human had held out. He'd never seen what would happen when they were sucked into those things. He only know what it felt like... He made a sound similar to someone humming then hoisted himself back against the warmth of his trainer. Luke tightened his hold on the young Squirtle as it moved, his expression quizzical. "Where?" He asked, walking after Kiseop. "You mean to my hometown?" Cola made a face, he hated going back there. It gave him the creeps. What with all the freaky ghosts in that big building and the eerie atmosphere... He shivered, and retreated into his shell. At least he wouldn't see where they were going, hopefully they were not going there... Maybe he'd have a nap. |

"Naw," He turned his full body around to look at the duo. "To find a hotel or room to rent or something." His eyes gleamed, as if he were warming up to the human before him. He smiled, an odd shape his mouth took to the foreign movement of his mouth. "We can split the payments or something. And I think your Pokémon would enjoy the company of mine. Though I do amit," he chuckles slightly, "Cola might be afraid of my other two. I'll tell them to lighten up." |

Cola popped his head back out at the mention of his name, and gave Kiseop a curious look. What was that about other Pokémon? Lucrent smiled in return, a thing that was rarely shown to others,"that'd be cool." He said, thinking of how the trainer had read his mind. "It's better finding my way around this city with company than by myself." Cola glanced up at him worried about the use of the words 'afraid', he tugged at his owner's sleeves with a little whimper. Luke locked eyes with the young Squirtle, then let his gaze wander to his belt, where the all too familiar red and white Pokeballs nestled. "Cola should be fine as long as he stays with his elder brother." He said looking back at Kiseop, his cerulean eyes seeming to darken in the light. |

Kiseop stood until Luke joined him to walk along the busy sidewalk. He looked the boy up and down with his eyes harshly, trying to see if there were any dead give aways that he was a grunt. He seems clean, and grunts don't carry babies around with them. They only use full grown adult Pokémon for their antics. His eyes looked at Cola's shell with a bitter cold snarel, but then clamed down when realized that Luke was no one to fear. His profile came up clean under the eyes and nose of the trainer whose life has been surrounded by evil teams of distruction and mistreatment of Pokémon. "Brother you say?" He sniffed the air. Boy, did that scent smell good. Something was cooking, somewhere on the street. A vender, a resturant? It was too diccult to tell with all the people... "Do you have another Squirtle or an evolved form in your party? Or do you mean spiritual brother as in a bond between two unrelated friend?" He sounded snobby in the last scentence, but it was only his rough accent trying to be polite. |
